2012 ASA Soy Social and Auction -
Nashville Nights and Sights
ASA announces its theme for the
Seventh Annual Soy Social and Auction. The theme of the Soy Social
and Auction is "Nashville Nights and Sights." The auction will be
on Thursday, March 1, 2012, in conjunction with Commodity Classic
in Nashville, Tennessee.
ASA members will be able to
pre-register by mail for the auction for $75 per person until
Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, or purchase tickets after the mail deadline
at the ASA Soy Social and Auction table near the Commodity Classic
Registration Desk. Tickets will also be available at the door for
$85 per person.
For 2012 ASA is adding some
exciting new events to the Soy Social and Auction to encourage
bidding and increase participation. These new events include:
- "First Sighting" Party
– This is a special early viewing opportunity limited to the
first 50 individuals to register for this event. The "First
Sighting" Party begins 45 minutes prior to general admission.
Participants are first to view auction items and select seating,
as well as have early access to the buffet dinner prior to
opening the doors to general admission. Registration is an
additional $50 per person to the general admission pricing, and
a general admission ticket must be purchased to attend.
- Online Auction –
The online auction will be conducted prior to the Soy Social and
Auction at Commodity Classic. The online auction will be
comprised of items received through donations from our corporate
and state association contributors. ASA is requesting donations
be received by Jan. 13, 2012, in order for us to catalog
and organize items for the online auction.
- Mystery Box Auctions
– ASA will have two mystery items as part of the Live Auction.
These items will be of significant value and will be disguised
to conceal their identity. As soon as the first winning bidder
for a mystery box is selected, that person will choose one of
the boxes and un-wrap the item immediately. The remaining box
will be auctioned off later in the evening.
SoyPAC resources will be used to
support congressional candidates that have routinely championed
soybean priorities in Congress.
NOTE: Federal law requires us to
use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing
address, occupation and the name of the employer of individuals
whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
When registering for the Soy
Social and Auction or making a donation, please do NOT use a
corporate/farm account check. According to federal rules, SoyPAC
cannot accept corporate/farm account contributions.
