farm sidekick” Murphy the black Labrador. They are beside a liquid
manure tanker and all wheel drive 265 horsepower tractor with an all
weather comfort cab.

Ralph Beach (Mark
Jackson’s grandfather) with his trusty dog Penny in the 1920s, haul
manure to the field with a two horse hitch, ground driven manure
spreader, complete with steel wheels, a board seat and a pitch fork for
loading.

The American Soybean Association (ASA) was founded in 1920
by a group
of soybean farmers and extension workers to promote soybeans
as a crop and increase profit opportunities.
